Our entire management team was trained in England. We have a combined experience in education of over 60 years. As for our teachers, we only use native or near-native speakers of English who are suitably qualified to teach the language.
Our Founder
Dr Joyce Tan was a qualified child psychologist with nearly forty years of experience in teaching children. She was educated in Australia and England. She founded and ran a chain of kindergartens in Penang and Kedah for many years. Her unique style of teaching brought together the best of child psychology and teaching methodologies for excellent results. Now, PTIC is part of her educational legacy.
Principal
Dr Julian Ng has been teaching English for over 25 years. He was the youngest applicant accepted into a teacher training programme in Australia and was head-hunted to teach at the prestigious Scots College in Sydney. Since then, he has taught and lectured at universities and schools across the world, at all levels. He is a sought-after motivational speaker and has private clients ranging from Arab sheikhs to Buddhist monks. He has a CTEFLA (RSA/Cambridge) and his doctorate is in Education Management.
Centre Managers
Jeffrey Ng has managed businesses and schools in China, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. He sets the strategic and operation goals for PTIC, with new ideas, programmes and initiatives based on market research.
Maple Lam trained under WISE English (UK) both as a student, and then later, as an administrator. She has an innate ability which allows her to bridge and transcend foreign know-how with local needs. Maple teaches our younger students also, particularly those who are learning English for the first time.
